THREE COLORS. HIGH CONTRAST. UNAPOLOGETIC.
The Thirsty Viking is everything you really want from a vendor and from a brand. The aspects of this branding identity is to appeal to the senses.
The taste of quality, the feel of masculinity, the voice of a viking, and the feminine accenting to balance the creative process to match the rough and the rigid with the colorful and playful layout that you can experience. The linework is meant to demonstrate the complex ideas that are balanced with simplicity.
The Thirsty Viking is the crux of what it means to be a modern brand that has a strong identity through the concepts of art design and creative vision.
Be a viking, and be a visionary. You can balance these through collaboration: often, we collaborate with ourselves to create something excellent. Being open to have conversations with ourselves allows for room to unlock different parts through creative design.
In essence, this branding design concept is quite reflective of design values, and the tone to match what is outside of our inner voice. We can be anything we want to be. This is my designer's POV.
Something rough around the edges, something a little bit new, and something timeless. The purpose of this type selection is to highlight the versatile, playful nature of the brand through collaborating type with expression: brutal, fun, and rewarding.
Hierarchy of the typefaces persistantly gravitate to play well together. The primary brand font is Grovana Medium Rough, and features the logotype. In brand copy, the subheadings pull from Boucherie Flared. Antarctican Mono pulls the placement together through balance.
